Jog-a-thon

TheBrighton Academy Jog-a-thon is a great fundraiser we do in the spring and involves all of the students in every grade. This fundraiser relies on the participation of students, parents, friends and family and has been extremely successful in previous years. Prior to the Jog-a-thon, students ask friends and family to sponsor them for each lap they run. The Jog-a-thon is held on the school grounds and students run around a predetermined 1/10 of a mile course for app. half an hour. The day of the Jog-a-thon is a fun day for everyone, where students, friends and family enjoy a BBQ and watch as prizes and ribbons are handed out to runners. After all money has been collected, top fundraising students also receive handsome prizes,

We thank everyone who participated and donated in our Second Annual Jog-a-thon (2005), when we raised over $4,000 from donations and used this money to supplement our tuition costs. The prizes we gave out included a limo ride for the top 4 student fundraisers, to lunch on the last day of school. A pizza and ice cream party for the top fundraising class and many Gift Certificates that were donated by local businesses such as—Baldini’s Pizza—Photo Den---Video World----Matsukaze Restaurant---Applebee’s and Extreme Board Shop to name a few.

Last year The Third Annual Brighton Academy Jog-a-thon was held on Wed. May 24^th. With a tremendous campus effort we raised over $10,000. We gave out Jog-a-thon T-shirts to students who raised over $75.00, as well as limo rides, a class party and a Jackpot to the top fundraisers. Students, staff, friends and family enjoyed a FREE BBQ as they cheered on the students. We had a blast and raised a ton of money thanks to Michelle Tamashiro and her committee.

This year the Forth Annual Brighton Academy Jog-a-Thon will be held on Wednesday May 16^th. This year we are aiming to raise $12,000 to support Brighton Academy. Crystal Hayes will be leading the charge this year with a very motivated jog-a-thon committee. We will be giving out Jog-a-thon T-shirts to students, who raise $100 each, as well as limo rides, and a class party to the top fundraising class. We invite friends and family to enjoy a FREE BBQ and cheer on the students as they run at the Brighton Academy Jog-a-thon on Wed. May 16th.
