DRESS CODE
Pre-K through 12th grade
Brighton Academy believes that learning about appropriate dress is an important part of a student’s education and personal growth. An awareness of dressing for occasions and events will prepare students for success in their chosen careers. For this reason, Brighton Academy maintains a conservative dress code for all grade levels.
• Clothes are permitted in any color.
• Any pattern or printing on shirts or sweaters must be tasteful and understated.
• Tasteful sweats and T-shirts are allowed.. 
• Girls are allowed 1 earring per ear and no earrings are allowed for boys.
Shirts
• Properly fitted and if un-tucked neat in appearance.
• Short or long sleeve Oxford (button front with collar)
• Short or long sleeve Polo style shirts with collars
• Turtlenecks & mock Turtlenecks (no oversized)
Cardigans & Sweaters
• Button front or pull over
Pants
• Properly fitted, no low rise or extra baggy cuts.
• Jeans are acceptable (not ripped or torn).
• Shorts should be no shorter than mid thigh
Girls...
Hair color, hair style. make-up and nail polish must be minimal and conservative. No visible tattoos or body piercing are allowed. No colored hair, No heavy make-up and no Goth attire.
• Skirts & Dresses: no shorter than mid thigh
• Shirts, Sweaters & Blouses: Short or long sleeve, no oversized or low cut shirts, no Spaghetti straps, no mid drift (no tummies exposed).
